TINTED (COLOURED) FLOAT GLASS

Tinted float glass is made by adding a small amount of metal oxides to the composition of clear float glass during its production. This addition of colour gives the product special colouration and the ability to absorb more solar energy, as a result of its reduced light transmittance. Therefore, the colour will darken as the thickness of the glass increases with a corresponding reduction in light transmittance.
