Ultra-clear float glass (also known as extra clear) is glass with a reduced iron oxide content of the sand from which it is produced, by up to 90%. Therefore, the usual green colouration is absent and the glass exhibits extremely increased light transmission and a higher solar coefficient, compared to common clear float glass.
