NEXTREMA®

STELCO S.A. offers NEXTREMA®, a glass-ceramic material platform from SCHOTT AG combining high temperature material properties with technical glasses. Thereby, different material variants in different thicknesses and shapes open up new design opportunities and innovations in various industries.

Fields of application:

NEXTREMA® is versatile in its use. Due to its combination of properties and the different material variants available, an extremely broad range of products and processes opens up. Here are some example use cases:

Transparent NEXTREMA® as a BBQ grill viewing window or lid. Or tinted NEXTREMA® glass-ceramic as back burner cover for rotisserie burners in grills.

NEXTREMA® Burner Shields – transparent gas burner covers for gas BBQs – are another option to use the versatile material in grills.

Either in domestic or industrial use: The six different transmission provide a choice for NEXTREMA® glass-ceramic as infrared (IR) heater cover.

In the area of mechanical engineering and industrial furnaces, NEXTREMA® can also be used as carrier plate, heater cover, viewing window or additional insulation. Depending on the variant, the respective properties e.g. thermal shock resistance up to 820 °C, temperature resistance up to 950 °C or process inertness making NEXTREMA® an ideal component for different manufacturing machines for a wide range of markets.
